What can a Team Leader’s day look like?

From morning walks and team stand-ups to client demos and paddleboarding by the lake. Mariia from our Ternopil office shares what a typical day in her role looks like.


Hi, I’m Mariia, a Team Leader and Designer based in our Ternopil office. Let me take you through what a typical day in my role looks like.


I like to start my mornings with a brisk 15-minute walk to the office. It’s my little ritual: fresh air, sunshine, and a calm moment before the day gets busy.

The morning begins with heavy news: another brutal attack on Lviv by Moscovia. Our usual coffee with teammates turns into a serious conversation: we share our thoughts and try to support each other.



Once at my desk, I dive into my Team Lead duties: checking chats and our task board, monitoring progress, and preparing for our daily stand-up. I spend part of the morning testing the latest features and making sure everything is demo-ready.

My team works on an energy project. Our daily routine is all about building new features, testing, refining, and making sure our product delivers real value to our clients. On this particular day, I’m finalizing preparations for a client demo and aligning with the team on the last details.



At lunch, we head out for pizza. Maybe not the healthiest choice, but definitely a fun break in the middle of the day. :)

The afternoon is usually busier, filled with syncs and sprint planning. Together, we set priorities for the next sprint, balance workloads, and make sure everyone has what they need to succeed.

Toward the end of the day, I hold a few 1-on-1 sessions with teammates. These are some of my favorite moments – a chance to exchange feedback, talk about challenges, and celebrate progress.

When the workday winds down, I don’t stop learning. In the evenings, I often join an English conversation call with a British friend, where we chat about everything from world news to weekend plans. I wrap up the day together with my teammates out on the lakeside, paddleboarding, which is the perfect way to recharge after a full, focused day.


For me, this balance of meaningful work, teamwork, learning, and time to recharge is what makes my role special.

Every day brings new challenges and new reasons to grow. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.
